We’re looking for a well-rounded SEM Specialist who aspires to work in a fast-paced agency. In this role, the focus is to create effective paid search strategies, as well as launching and optimizing PPC campaigns to provide the highest possible return on investment (ROI) for our clients. You will have the opportunity to craft strategies and campaigns for businesses in a broad range of industries from all over the world.
The SEM Specialist job includes the entire process of forming paid search strategies, launching and optimizing campaigns, keyword research and audience targeting, KPI tracking, budget monitoring and adjustment, dashboard / report creation, and writing copy. You will be the one to shape the PPC presence for our clients, as well as creative innovative ways to drive success for a multitude of clients from all over the world.
Your strategies and campaigns should drive the greatest possible return on investment for our clients. For this, you need to be results driven and have a strong analytical mindset with a creative flair to see opportunities others miss in long tail keywords and other areas. Education & Experience requirements:
Proven experience as a SEM Specialist, Media Buyer or Paid Media Specialist
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital Media or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
3+ years of marketing experience
Agency experience preferred
Ecommerce experience preferred
Some major job responsibilities include:
Participate in forming effective paid search strategies
Launch and optimize campaigns across multiple search platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Bing Ads)
Be involved in keyword selection and audience targeting
Monitor budget and adjust bids to gain better ROI
Track KPIs to assess performance and pinpoint issues
Produce reports for management (e.g. dashboards)
Write attractive and concise copy for adverts
Suggest and develop new campaigns across multiple channels
Maintain partnerships with ad platforms and vendors
Find ways to reduce risk of click fraud
Keep abreast of PPC and SEM trends
Skills and abilities we desire:
Experience in data analysis and reporting
Familiarity with automated bid management (SA360 preferred)
Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing concepts
Familiarity with paid shopping channels
Working knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, WebTrends etc.)
Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel), or Google Sheets
Analytical thinking with strong math skills
Strong unstructured problem-solving skills. Can learn quickly, pivot, and adapt to new tools and information
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to navigate conflicts and tough conversations, and to incorporate a wide range of opinions and requests within a project.
Strong time management skills to manage a busy workload
Ability to keep calm in a fast-paced environment
